The MRA Classic Race Series is a series of MRA sanctioned events run on courses certified accurate by Athletics Canada. Distances vary from 5k to the Full Marathon and are timed by an MRA-approved timer. The emphasis of this series is to encourage friendly competition among runners 17 years of age and older (age calculated as of January 1st).
Points are earned based on placings compared to other MRA members at the races in the series and are used to calculate the top three runners (men & women) in each five year age category. New this year: top 3 overall non-binary category! These winners are awarded for their achievement at the annual MRA Awards Celebration in November.
An MRA membership is required to take part in the series. A minimum of 5 races are needed to qualify for an award, with the points in your best 10 races to be used for the final calculations. The point system is as follows:

PLEASE NOTE THAT VIRTUAL RESULTS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED IN THE MRA CLASSIC RACE SERIES.
The total points earned in the Classic Race Series is based on your 10 Best Races. If you have done more than 10, the lowest point scores from your total (those in RED) are removed. Therefore the highest achievable score is 3000 points (10 races x 300 points).
