2025 MRA Track Club Summer Session: Run Faster & Incur Fewer Injuries
Did you know that by simply learning some of the basic fundamentals of running, along with a proper warm-up, you can become a faster runner and incur fewer injuries??
The MRA, in association with Athletics Manitoba (AM), has developed a program of workouts specifically designed for road runners, whether you’re new to the sport or have been training and racing for years.
The workouts will be held once a week on Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm at the Victor Mager Track, 81 Beliveau Road, St Vital, from July 2nd to September 24th (13 sessions).
Coaches will be TBA, middle distance specialists with the U of M Bison Track Team.

This program is only available to 2025 MRA Members born in 2013 or earlier, at the low cost of $50 + GST

Workouts will be tailored to your current level of training. Some of the topics that will be covered are:
- what is a good warm-up and why is it important?
- running mechanics
- speed/interval workouts
- at-home injury prevention, and more!
Each session will build on the last one, with the goal of developing both speed and strength over the span of the program.
