Join us for a fun track event for Road Runners!

We’re copying an event held in Toronto a few weeks ago (with their permission!) called TRACKtastic. It involves a mixture of fun and serious events designed to overcome the anxiety of competing on a track, while introducing some of the fundamentals of competing in a track event.
Most importantly, we’re celebrating runners of all levels, rooting for one another and having a blast at the track!

Events:
- THE PREDICTION MILE: No watch; no clock. The winner is the one with the closest pre-race estimate of their finishing time!
- KID’S RACE: 16 and under 400m. No cost; all the fun!
- ALL-OUT 400m: A Classic. And you bet we’re celebrating the runner with the most style as much as we do the one who tackles the distance the fastest!
- SLOWEST 100m: Molly Seidel challenged us all to the mile, but we don’t have all day! So how slow can you run 100m? There are rules!
- AGE-GRADED 800m: Leveling the playing field across the ages. How does your speed stack up against the crowd? We’re putting the World Masters Athletics age grading calculator to use to find out!
- 4 X 400m COED RELAY: Rounding out the day with a track meet classic. Grab your running friends and see how quickly you can get that baton around the track!
- EXHIBITION RUN: Want to see how the pros do it? Cheer on the University of Manitoba Track Team and our very own coaches, Noel and Calvin!
