The Cousins Memorial Run is an adventurous event to remember three cousins, Jireh, Sophie, and Acacia Goertzen who have finished their earth side run, and for us to choose to live well and look for God’s goodness in the land of the living. Any suffering we endure produces perseverance, which cultivates character, which grows hope in the waiting.
Redemption Moto is a motorcycle shop in Gladstone Manitoba with a duel focus on making/repairing bikes and connecting people. Redemption believes that bringing people together and creating space for belonging is core to finding value in this life. A key way in which they serve is to mentor youth through bike repair, carpentry and baking. Redemption Moto is walking distance from the highschool, and anticipate being a gathering place for young people.
The founder of this project is Joel Goertzen, father of Jireh Goertzen. The tragic loss of Jireh happened in the early stages of building Redemption Moto. Joel with his family and friends have continued to push forward on this project, even through unthinkable loss.
Cousins Memorial Run wants to recognize this inspiring project, and the ongoing love Joel and his family show for the community of Gladstone Manitoba.
