Executive Director – Kathy Wiens
Kathy has been an active in the road running community for many years. She has raced all distances from 5km to the Full Marathon, but is currently not racing due to injury. She sat on the Run Manitoba committee of Athletics Manitoba for 3 years and when road racing was turned back over to the Manitoba Runners’ Association she wanted to continue giving back to the running community by joining the Board of the MRA. Kathy is a retired banker with over 25 years of experience and says it was an honour to take over the reins from Leni Campbell as Executive Director.She is married to her husband Peter and has two very active children, Kaitlyn and Noah, who train with the Windburn Triathlon Club. Board Member – Dreena Duhame
Dreena is a retired legal assistant and has been a board member for 11 years as secretary.  Dreena celebrated 35 years of running in May 2014.  During that time she has completed distances of one mile to the full marathon.  She hopes to be running when she is 90.  Besides being passionate about running, Dreena loves opera, the Blue Bombers and her three cats:  Norma Jean, Dudley and Tonto.
Her other volunteer activities include the Humane Society and tending the kettle for the Salvation Army at Christmas time.
In September 2013 Dreena completed the Trail of the Incas in Peru, a four day trek through the Andes Mountains.  She was the oldest female with that particular tour company to do so. She says she could not have done it without her background as a runner. Dreena was inducted into the MRA Running Hall of Fame in 2013. Judy McMullen – Treasurer
Judy has an exciting career at Red River College, as Assistant Controller. During her 29 year career at RRC, she has been involved with staff in numerous running events and that is where she met James Slade and became involved in the MRA Board as treasurer. In Winnipeg she has run 2 marathons, half marathon, participated in countless relays and fun runs. She has 3 children who were always active in the school running programs. She is proud to say that they continue to be active in running, hockey, snowboarding and other physical activities. In her free time she also enjoys golfing, swimming, slow pitch, curling, gardening and reading. She has sat on numerous boards and committees; Roblin Park Community Centre Board of Directors for 12 years, RRC Daycare for 11 years, actively involved in the inception of the Winnipeg Women’s Hockey League (WWHL) and sat on the board for 4 years and at Red River College involved with the Staff club. She is eager to participate in the MRA Board of Directors and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
